It has lately been questioned by the chairman of IEC TC108/MT1 that the decision 12/2 may amend EN 60065. Thus, we are proposing a revision of 12/2. Ref. Decision: This decision replaces 12/2 with the amended text in red: , I/ h# ~( x2 [/ H, C3 h, _When safety of an apparatus relies upon the power supply (adaptor) using a non-special connector for the a.c./d.c. input, the apparatus must have a marking stating the following: "Use only power supplies listed in the user instructions" y4 w; X# c8 j/ T& k0 [& j7 S$ }or ) V1 {1 I& o9 N4 x1 O"For applicable power supplies see user instructions". This statement shall also be in the user-instructions.7 }! @8 Y, M# e* v$ m" ]: N8 K
The user instructions must then have a listing of manufacturers and models of the relevant power supplies. As an alternative to the text on the product, it is acceptable to use both the symbols ISO 7000-0434 and ISO 7000-1641. The book alone is also sufficient (ISO 7000-1641).
