4 a( s, }5 U, Y( n7 o' {enclosures (IP code), IEC 60529, a description of the dust is given in subclause
% M. R4 ^1 C8 ~3 G0 Y13.4. However, in the transformer standard the description of the dust divagate a
  v% A4 v: J8 S+ Nbit as the following wording is added: “and shall have a range of particle size
/ V" N" h6 c1 v8 E6 x$ z4 f- Ydown to and including 1 +m with at least 50% by weight less than 5 +m”. This
more precise description imply that dust in the dust chamber must be changed
when a transformer is tested, this without any technical reasons. For the future,
' A3 w7 b8 N1 f( d! bcan we use the dust specified in IEC 60529 also for transformers?
Decision: The horizontal safety function standard IEC 60529 shall be followed, i.e. the dust
