4.2.4 Preparation of specimens

6 `' j1 S( I4 u9 U' M! sSamples shall be taken from a wire, cable or cord, finished or during manufacture, at any time following( o8 S6 B+ U- N7 H. u
curing of the compound, where applicable.
2 k" h$ s5 \1 F; N0 B7 jA minimum of six specimens per sample shall be tested ²as received² and after accelerated aging or liquid* F5 {, O7 A& m! n
immersion. If the specimen breaks outside of the gauge marks or the grips of the mechanical: F6 W: F+ y3 K. T- _9 p. D7 E9 @
extensometer at a value below that specified as the acceptable minimum, the test results shall be
