Some of these modifications are summarized below for vendors that were not able to attend the

• Total lead standard for surface coatings continues at 90ppm2 s6 z: l2 Y8 b, _
• Total lead standard for substrates continues at 300ppm (more stringent requirements for
: V4 G; { e! z' E( ?+ Uselected categories such as PVC shoes/raincoats, jewelry, etc.)
$ e- _8 _( p* M4 O' y9 p, s• We will test in accordance with regulatory guidelines regarding accessibility and exceptions1 D. w% Y4 Q C9 j% g: U
• Packages used for children’s items that are intended – as determined by the lab- to store" h% K3 c I; H q- b
the product and/or be used by the child with the product will be subjected to use and abuse
: t; {& T% e7 `and the same analytical testing requirements as apply to the product.( C- Y8 ^4 o0 u! g
• R Us direction is that we will continue to reduce the PVC in our packaging. PVC Packaging

! H" m" V) }( tCanada must be Phthalate Compliant per Toys R Us guidelines. This standard applies to all" |0 b1 n: w+ H$ D
product inclusive of brand name, country of origin, importer of record, and/or purchase order" ~; o$ ` f! C8 D0 J
type.9 O: W3 k X0 I6 L8 P; x
• For imported items, the Phthalate compliance must be noted to receive a certificate of
6 B+ C' r5 b3 f5 |compliance. On “domestic purchase orders, Toys R Us Canada will periodically request
, t8 _* i, h( q6 ldocumentation supporting the Phthalate mandate.% {0 a& B5 p. M' [( D/ c# a
• All items within scope of AB 1108, CPSIA, or EU phthalate directive must be “P4” compliant
) v, v# b" W7 S7 H# g(i.e. not contain greater than 0.1% w/w of DEHP, DBP, BBP, or DnHP). Mouthable items
0 n* J+ E. W' q9 r6 s" ?* Imust additionally not contain <0.1% DnOP, DIDP, or DINP (“P7” compliant).
0 b( k, ]9 e2 W• Phthalates will be tested in surface coatings; also inaccessible components may be tested
