标题: 关于对USB口的ESD测试
有个小问题请教一下，对一款车载娱乐产品做ESD测试，它的USB接口有一个塑胶防尘罩扣着（可揭开和扣上），请问是否只需要对USB防尘罩缝隙做空气放电就可以了。需不需要把防尘罩揭开对USB做接触放电。
4 T6 f5 n) y. M  Y6 m+ q另外还有，对没有防尘罩的USB接口，但USB金属座子内陷在里面，手不容易接触到，是否需要进行接触放电。

Do you really wanna break your EUT? From my side,  no contact discharge is needed at this time, normally. contact discharge is only for the metal earth connection. for detailed information, you can reference IEC61000-4-2...

The point is whether your product is working with a Car Plug or not!
# C8 w3 X5 J7 i6 O4 x$ V1 i6 I" }+ j, D) m: ^. n- Y( ^
If your product is powered by a Car Plug, it is a Car accessory. Then you have two choices in getting the approval:
: J% f3 R6 ^) w% L2 Y* @     1) e-mark + K0 w. W- P2 W2 C
          or
1 R6 u" r/ ?" m6 C3 u( j$ s, p     2) CE-Mark
; m# u3 L5 }1 c! q9 ?1 L4 [* ], x; ]  \9 i8 b6 N- ~1 \
For e-mark, the ESD test is NOT necessary for all car accessories. Hence, your product need not have the ESD test.

, u/ e* \7 P" d0 d6 X- R& O6 _' aFor CE-Mark, the ESD should be done. As a basic rule, all user accessible parts will be tested but the pins inside the connector will not be tested. For metal acessible parts, the 4kV contact discharge will be done. For non-metal acessible parts, the 8kV air discharge will be done. In your case, a plastic cap is covering the USB. Then, a lab may perform
! ~$ n4 A. M1 w( E/ |& s* _4 _8 Y  - the 8kV air discharge nearby the USB port when the plastic cap is covered the port.
7 o% ]5 K0 k. y4 M1 x  - the 4kV contact discharge at the shielded ground of USB if the shielded ground is accessible after the plastic cover is removed.

1.需要把防尘罩揭开对USB做接触放电（原因：人手可以接触到）；) `$ V$ d, ~) g" K  {
2.USB金属座子内陷在里面，手不容易接触到，仍需要进行接触放电（原因：金属外壳USB设备在使用时人手可接触金属。）

应该是插上周边设备，打空气吧，不用打接触的吧
