Buster Brown Clog Children抯 Shoes Recalled by Brown Shoe Co. and Pagoda International Footwear Ltd. Due to Choking Hazard
7 q  l; b& Q' d1 e8 ^WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Buster Brown & Co.抯 Clog Children抯 Shoes
% l& ?4 x; y+ N5 z% ~Units: About 1.4 million (73,000 pair of shoes were previously recalled in April 2009); a. W6 \4 D3 @: d) N2 n; W' G
Distributor: Brown Shoe Co. Inc., of St. Louis, Mo. and its affiliate Pagoda International Footwear Ltd., of Hong Kong.' D/ E' ]% s  L. i2 Z
Hazard: The shoe has decorative wheels that can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.: i: Z  ]2 J+ F$ N
Incidents/Injuries: The companies have received two reports of a decorative wheel detaching from the shoe. No injuries have been reported.
% m- {0 R6 x* ?7 p" ?Description: This recall involves the Buster Brown & Co. clog children抯 shoes with model or retail numbers listed below. These shoes are a plastic molded EVA 搘ater?clog and are designed to resemble a car. The shoes are red, brown, blue, yellow, and pink and most shoes bear the words 揅ARS,?揟ransformers Animated,?or 揃arbie.?揃uster Brown & Co.™?is printed on the shoe inside at the heel, on a sewn-in tag inside the fleece-lined shoe, and on the original hang tag. The model or retail number can also be found on these tags. The shoes were sold in children sizes 5 to 13 and youth sizes 1-3.: C3 }/ Q; L8 v- p. d7 C  G# B
Sold at: Major retailers nationwide, including Bealls? Famous Footwear, J.C. Penney, Meijer, Rack Room, Sears, Shoe Show, Target, and Wal-Mart from August 2007 through June 2009 for $10 to $25.( f" B5 a7 j8 z! n8 H) J

Remedy: Customers should immediately take this product away from children and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
