‘standby mode(s)’ means a condition where the equipment is connected to the mains power source, depends on energy input from the mains power source to work as intended and provides only the following functions, which may persist for an indefinite time:
— reactivation function, or reactivation function and only an indication of enabled reactivation function, and/or
— information or status display;
‘reactivation function’ means a function facilitating the activation of other modes, including active mode, by remote switch, including remote control, internal sensor, timer to a condition providing additional functions, including the main function;
‘information or status display’ means a continuous function providing information or indicating the status of the equipment on a display, including clocks;
b) Power consumption in ‘standby mode(s)’:
The power consumption of equipment in any condition providing only a reactivation function, or providing reactivation function and a mere indication of enabled reactivation function, shall not exceed 0,50 W.
The power consumption of equipment in any condition providing only information or status display, or providing only a combination of reactivation function and information or status display shall not exceed 1,00 W.

The following benchmarks are identified for the purpose of Annex I, Part 3, point 2, to Directive 2005/32/EC:
Off mode: 0 W-0,3 W with hard-off switch on the primary side, depending, inter alia, on the characteristics related to electromagnetic compatibility pursuant to Directive 2004/108/EC.
Standby — reactivation function: 0,1 W.
Standby — display: simple displays and low power LEDs 0,1 W, larger displays (e.g. for clocks) require more power.
如下為E2005//32/EC ANNEX 1 PART3 POINT 2:
2. - Manufacturers will make use of this assessment to evaluate alternative design solutions and the achieved environmental performance of the product against benchmarks.
- The benchmarks will be identified by the Commission in the implementing measure on the basis of information athered during the preparation of the measure.
- The choice of a specific design solution will achieve a reasonable balance between the various environmental aspects and between environmental aspects and other relevant considerations, such as safety and health, technical requirements for functionality, quality, and performance, and economic aspects, including manufacturing costs and marketability, while complying with all relevant legislation.
綜上所述,及根據ERP指令精神個人認為如下為0.5W來判定。
Standby — reactivation function: 0,1 W;
Standby — display: simple displays and low power LEDs 0,1 W;
如下為1W來判定:
Standby — display: larger displays (e.g. for clocks) require more power.
